Choosing your container size

Start from access, not volume
The question that most often blocks a delivery is not “how much do I need to store” but “can the truck manoeuvre”. A 20ft unit needs about 20 metres of straight clearance, a 40ft around thirty. In a courtyard or a city centre, the 10ft is often the only workable format.
Volume benchmarks
- 10ft — 15.9 m³: archives, tools, a small firm's equipment.
- 20ft — 33.2 m³: the equivalent of a double garage, our best seller.
- 40ft — 67.7 m³: palletised stock, the contents of a whole building.
- 40ft High Cube — 76.3 m³: same footprint, 30 cm more height.
Two 20ft units or one 40ft?
For the same volume, two 20ft units cost more to buy and to deliver than one 40ft. What they buy you is flexibility: two locations, two separate uses, and an easier resale.
